Feathered Scarves

This was a pink dyed scarf that was not working out in the second lilac dye bath round. Fortunately, I kept going, realizing that it just was not finished. I wound it back on a pole without first flattening it, and dyed it plum. If it had been put on a smaller diameter pole, it would look different on the pole, but the result would be the same! In other words, there are many ways to get to the same results in arashi shibori. This way is fine, as long as I keep it uniformly wound on the pole for best results. The resulting piece did not disappoint! It is spectacular! A long, beautiful textured scarf that has little feather shapes that are a wonder. I cannot wait to experiment with this feathered style scarf some mmmmm more. This has definitely been a part of my artistic explosion...
